After more than 10 years working in litigation, Brennen decided to follow his true passion for helping those in need. Brennen’s courage to pursue his calling is what led him to our apply to our elder law practice. We are privileged to give Brennen the platform to harness his empathy and focus his efforts toward assisting the elderly, disabled, and their families. Brennen obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with honors. He received his J.D. from Baylor Law School, where he was awarded a Public Interest Summer Fellowship to pursue pro bono work. He has appeared in state and federal courts across Texas, representing everything from individuals in crisis to large corporations, and brings over a decade of experience to the Law Offices of Carol Bertsch, PC. Brennen is a member of the San Antonio Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He recently moved to San Antonio and spends his free time exploring the city and surrounding hill country, sampling all the cultural and culinary experiences it has to offer. March 25 Carol is an Alternatives to Guardianship remote volunteer for the San Antonio Legal Services Association, which has partnered with Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid (TRLA), the Arc of San Antonio, and St. Mary’s Law School to provide supported decision-making agreements, powers of attorney, and other empowering documents to adults with disabilities and their families.
