Come join The Law Offices of Carol Bertsch, PC for the 2019 Buddy Walk

The Buddy Walk is an event that celebrates individuals with Down syndrome and increases awareness and inclusion. This one-mile walk is a family event and will include onsite activities such as music, face painting, inflatables, a train, vendor booths, and food trucks. Activities will be from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Walk starts at 11 am.

2019 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions. Join our team for the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease. Together, we can advance research to treat and prevent Alzheimer’s, and provide programs and support to improve the lives of millions of affected Americans.

July 19 – Ellen presented Getting Your Affairs in Order at Brookdale Senior Living.

July 22nd – Carol talked about Transfer on Death Deeds at Oasis.

July 31 – August 2 – Carol and Ellen attended UT Law’s Estate Planning, Guardianship and Elder Law Conference in Galveston.

August 14th – Carol presented Sexual Advance Directives to the Alamo Area Home Care Council.

August 14th – Ellen talked to doctors and medical staff about Guardianship at
San Antonio Military Medical Center.

August 29th – Ellen gave a speech at the MCCI Medical Group on commonly needed Estate Planning documents.

September 19th – Carol spoke at Oasis about Advanced Directives.

September 26th – The Law Offices of Carol Bertsch, PC went back to the Roaring 20s’s with some friends in the elder care industry. Check out the bow tie on Byron Cordes from Sage Care Management!

September 27 – The Law Offices of Carol Bertsch, PC attended the Legislative Update & Guardianship Certification Seminar, where Carol Bertsch, Carmen Samaniego Charlie Weisinger, and Judge Polly Jackson Spencer comprised the Estate Planning Panel.

September 28 – The Law Offices of Carol Bertsch, PC supported the Thru Project Annual Gala. Look at Carol and Nena having fun!

October 2nd – Carol presents Legal Issues Facing Elders at the Academy of Learning In Retirement.

October 22nd – Carol presents When My Spouse Dies to Oasis.

October 24th – Carol talks about the importance of Medical Powers of Attorney, Directives to Physicians, and DNRs to pharmacy students at The University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy.

October 24th – Ellen attends City Year’s Power of Women Luncheon.

October 26th – The Law Offices of Carol Bertsch, PC attends the San Antonio Clubhouse Sock Hop 15th Anniversary Celebration Honoring Kevin Moriarty.

October 30th – Carol presents Topics Every Caregiver Should Know at an open forum discussion at Arden Courts of San Antonio.

November 1st – Carol presents Powers of Attorney and Planning for Medicaid at WellMed’s 2019 Caregiver Summit.

November 4th – Carol presents Advance Directives at Grace Hospice.

November 6th – Carol presents Legal Issues Facing Elders at the Academy of Learning In Retirement.

November 12th – Carol presents Wills and Trusts at the Southside Lions Senior Center.

November 14th – Ellen talks about the Medicaid Application process to the MCCI Medical Group.

November 14th – Carol talks about Estate Planning and Probate at the Roseheart Clubhouse.

November 21st – Carol speaks at the Academy of Learning In Retirement about what people need to be aware of in their 70s and 80s.

November 28th & 29 – The Law Offices of Carol Bertsch, PC observes Thanksgiving.

December 12th – Carol presents The Essentials of Caregiving: Legal and Financial Planning at UT Health’s Caring for the Caregiver.

December 24th – 27th The Law Offices of Carol Bertsch, PC observes Christmas.
